Funny for the day..

Ok some of you may know my friend Lauren from ATL. She is crazy. She is always suprising everyone and doing crazy stuff. Well this time she got it. Katie and I drove to ATL today to suprise her. She had no clue it was great! The look on her face when we pulled up was priceless. She has been under a lot of stress lately with getting her basement finished. Katie and I went down to help her out for the day. She has a GREAT new scrapbook room! I LOVE her shelves. I ended up scraping paint off windows and hanging her curtains. Everything is looking good. Our friend Teresa came down today to spend a couple of weeks with her. She is going to help Lauren go through all her stuff and get organized. Maybe they will come to my house and help me. My scrap room needs major help.

Life is always an adventure!

Well yesterday Wade called me from work saying that he was having problems breathing and his arm was numb. I immediately left work and went and pick him up and we went to the ER. For Wade to ask to go to the doctor I knew he was sick. Long story short... after being in the ER from 11:30-5:30 and 1 xray, 1 cat scan and 2 breathing treatments later... he has a bacterial infection in his lungs. They have him on an inhaler, steroids & antibiotics. The doctor said he should be just fine. Next time his sinuses start draining he will listen to me and take some medicine. That is what they think caused the infection. Men... what do are we suppose to do with them?

Is there a DOCTOR in the house!!

Ok all you moms out there. Here is a tip that may save you a lot of heartache. ALWAYS check the seams on a stuffed animal or doll before you put them in the washing machine!!! As you can see Katie's build a bear has an open wound. I came home from an auction tonight and Wade yells at me from downstairs to come and look. I come down the stairs and he asks me what are we going to do about this. Is there a doctor that can fix it. The bear even lost the heart they put in there. I washed the bear last night with a load of towels. Wade had come down to change them over and found this. He took everything out of the washer and piled it on the sink. He cleaned out the washer and walked out of the laundry room for me to perform surgery. FYI... they put a whole lot of stuffing in this bear. It is everywhere. I am having to shake off the towels into the sink and put the stuffing back in. After that the towels will go back in the wash and maybe all the fuzz will come off. I am hoping to get it sewed up and Katie be none the wiser. I hope this piece of advice will save someone else from having to do open butt surgery on a bear.
Right after all this happened I had to call my friend Lauren. She proceeds to tell me to get off the phone and get my camera and post on my blog. I hope she realizes that not all the crazy stuff happens to just her.

DECKTOPIA

I am so tired of working on this deck. Why do I feel like this thing keeps getting bigger and bigger! Ok the 1st picture was taken about 1:00 TODAY! The last picture was taken at 7:00 TODAY! Wade, Chris and Uncle Jeff and me worked hard to get all that done. I am hoping we will get even more done tomorrow. I hope the weather holds out a little longer so that we can enjoy it a while longer. Katie got in the pool this afternoon. The pool temp was about 79 degrees. Just a little chilly for me but she didn't seem to mind.
Katie's birthday is in October. Maybe everything will be finished so that we can have everyone over and cook out and have cake on the deck.

Pool Update

Ok here is the latest pics of the pool and the deck. My friend Lauren made me go out just now and take these pics. As you can see Wade is building the portion of the deck where the hot tub is going to sit. Another pic is of the frame work of the new stairs. One is of the pool and the new deck. Finally the finished screen porch. All freshly painted. For now this is all the deck we can afford. We are going to put is all the way around as the money is available. It gets us started. There is enough room for several lounge chairs. It is at least ready to use tomorrow for our cookout.

Football Time in Tennessee

Well it is at least football time at Boyd Buchanan! Chris is a Senior this year. I can't believe it! Where has the time gone. This is Chris at football camp a couple of weeks ago. What happened to the little boy who sat in the floor and played with hot wheels. It is hard to imagine that our little boy is becoming a man. Time sure flies by. Live every minute like it is your last.
